so I am planning on doing a demonstration of NVDA. This is a free screen reader for windows. It reads me the screen using text to speech. I am going to upload it to my YouTube channel. Here’s the problem. I have no idea where to start. Yes you could say start at the beginning, but where is that? What do I show first? I really do not want to uninstall this, and then reinstall it to show people how, because I honestly have it just where I like it, and really don’t want to lose my settings. Gosh, that sounds selfish. I’m sorry. So, where do I start first? I’m not good at this honestly, I know a few people who could probably do better at this, but I am willing to give it a shot, because I love teaching people how things work. Maybe I can help someone, at least a little bit.

Well, if you are willing to give it a try, why not start with explaining what NVDA is, the abreviation of it, None Visual Desktop Access, what it does do for a visually impaired person, and how it works and what’s the benefit of it.
Then, you can start with explaining where you can find it, and how to download it and explain that the NVDA wizzard is really simple, that there are only a few check boxes to check or to uncheck and then let the user install NVDA. Usually, when a person installs NVDA, he/she is always using another screen reader before starting using NVDA.
Then you can start with the real demonstration by going tru all the menus, starting with the preferences and settings because that’s the first thing you demonstrate how to set up the screen reader.
I hope this has been a little bit of a help for you.
it is actually, I may have to do this in more than one part though, so it won’t be overwhelming for both me, and the people watching. I don’t know if I’ll upload them to Eltin though. Haven’t made up my mind yet.
Sure you can upload them to Elten. There may always be some persons who can benefit.
that’s true yes.
